ForgeLoot User Agreement

1. Terms and definitions

Unless stated otherwise, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

1. “Steam” — the online service operated by Valve Corporation, which holds the rights to the in-game items handled through the Website.
2. “Operator”(also “we”, “us”) — the entity maintaining the Website: Legal corporate number 3-102-949815, registration date November 24, 2025, legalization number 4062001356531, with its registered address at Province 01, San Jose, Costa Rica.
3. “Website” — the materials and functionality at forgeloot.com (text, graphics, design, software and other intellectual property, excluding the in-game Items themselves).
4. “User”(also “you”) — an individual with a Steam account who has accepted this Agreement.
5. “Account”— the secure pages created on your first sign-in, giving access to the Website’s features.
6. “Item” — an in-game item for Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 or Rust, held in your Account or in your Steam inventory. Use of Items is governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement, not by us.
7. “Upgrade”— the Website’s core functional module. You stake one or more Items and/or Forge Credits against a chosen target Item; the outcome is decided by a random roll at the odds displayed before you commit. If the roll fails, the staked Items and Credits are lost.
8. “Forge Credits” — the internal accounting unit used to pay for features on the Website, purchased at a rate of 1 Credit to 1 USD. Where another currency is offered, the exact rate is shown before payment. Forge Credits are not cryptocurrency, electronic money or a deposit, and confer no rights outside the Website.
9. “Parties” — the Operator and the User together.

Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect. Any term not defined here is interpreted according to applicable law and ordinary industry usage.

2. Conclusion of the agreement

This Agreement, published at /terms, is a public offer. You accept it in full by:

1. reading its provisions;
2. signing in through the “Sign in with Steam” button using an existing or newly created Steam account.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or older where your local law sets a higher minimum age for services of this kind, and that using the Website is lawful where you live. It is your responsibility to check this. We may refuse or close an Account where we believe this is not the case.

3. Subject matter

The Operator grants you:

• a free, non-exclusive licence to use the Website and its modules within their intended functionality, including your Account;
• on a paid basis, a non-exclusive licence to use the Upgrade module for its intended purpose, at the stake shown before each round.

The licences last for as long as you have access to the Website. You agree not to:

• circumvent technical restrictions on the Website;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Website or your Account, except where the law expressly permits it;
• copy the Website or its visual design;
• modify or impair the operation or performance of the Website;
• give any third party access to your Account;
• use bots, scripts or automation to interact with the Website, or hold more than one Account without our written permission.

4. How the Website works

Through the Website you may:

• review the Items available as upgrade targets, together with their value and the odds of winning them;
• stake Items and/or Forge Credits on an Upgrade and receive the target Item if the roll succeeds;
• deposit Items or funds to obtain Forge Credits, and withdraw Items you hold to your Steam account.

An Upgrade is a game of chance. The displayed odds are the real odds, the outcome is not guaranteed, and a failed roll consumes everything you staked. Never stake more than you can afford to lose.

4.1. Provably fair outcomes

Upgrade outcomes are generated using a provably fair scheme. Before each round we publish the hash of a server seed; the outcome is derived from that server seed together with a client seed you control and an incrementing nonce. Once a server seed is rotated it is revealed, so you can independently verify that past outcomes were not altered after the fact. The verification tool and instructions are at /provably-fair.

5. Deposits, withdrawals and Item transfers

1. Forge Credits are obtained by depositing Items or funds through the payment and trading providers offered on the Website. Terms, limits, currencies and fees are shown before you confirm a deposit.
2. Deposits and withdrawals of Items are executed by third-party trading providers and by Steam. Their availability, pricing and timing are outside our control.
3. To withdraw Items you must supply a valid Steam trade URL belonging to your own account and keep your Steam profile configured to accept trades. Items sent to a trade URL you supplied are your responsibility.
4. Steam applies its own trade protection hold — currently up to 8 days for Counter-Strike 2 items — during which a deposited Item cannot be credited. This hold is imposed by Valve, not by us.
5. Item prices shown on the Website are our own valuations, derived from third-party market data. They are indicative and may differ from prices on Steam or any other marketplace.

6. Monitoring, verification and account security

1. We monitor transactions and in-platform exchanges. Where a transaction appears suspicious, atypical or in breach of these terms, we may suspend it until an internal review is complete.
2. We may require you to complete identity verification (KYC) at any time, including identity documents and proof of lawful ownership of the payment method used.
3. Until verification is completed we may restrict access to your Account, suspend withdrawals and freeze Items and balances held in it. Restrictions are lifted once verification succeeds and the activity is found to be legitimate.
4. Where a single win, or your Account balance, exceeds your most recent deposit by twenty times or more, we may review the associated activity for technical faults, exploits or abuse. Such a review takes up to 14 calendar days, during which withdrawals may be restricted while the rest of the Website remains available to you.
5. You are responsible for the security of your Steam credentials and your Account. We are not liable for losses arising from your credentials being disclosed to a third party, except where we are at fault.

7. Fees

1. The stake for each Upgrade is displayed before you commit and is debited from your Items and/or Forge Credits balance at that moment.
2. Forge Credits are purchased through third-party payment providers. The applicable currency, rate, limits and fees are shown before you confirm payment.
3. A fee is treated as paid once the corresponding amount is debited from your balance, as reflected in your Account.

8. Refunds

1. You may request a refund of funds that remain unspent on your balance after a deposit. Refunds are only possible where the payment provider used supports reversal of the original transaction.
2. Stakes placed on an Upgrade, and Items or Credits already spent, are final and non-refundable — including where the roll was unsuccessful.

9. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this Agreement and explains what we collect, why, on what legal basis, and the rights available to you. Where that document conflicts with this section, the Privacy Policy prevails.

10. Limitation of liability

1. The Website and all of its components are provided on an “as is” basis. You assume the risks of using them.
2. We do not own the Items and do not set the terms on which they may be used or traded; those are governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement. We do not supply the games required to use them.
3. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations. Technical failures on either side that prevent access do not constitute non-performance of this Agreement.
4. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party unlawful acts, including unauthorised access to your Account.
5. Our aggregate liability to you is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law and, where such a limit is permitted, to the amount you deposited in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
6. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. We may suspend or close your Account and terminate this Agreement where you breach it. You remain responsible for damage your acts cause to third parties.

11. Responsible play

Upgrades are entertainment, not a source of income, and the mechanic is designed so that the Website retains a margin over time. Set your own limits, do not chase losses, and stop if play stops being enjoyable. If you would like your Account closed or restricted, contact us at [email protected] and we will act on the request.

12. Dispute resolution

1. The Parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute through negotiation. The complaining Party sends the other a written statement of the claim.
2. If no reply is received within 30 business days, or the Parties cannot agree, the dispute is resolved by the competent court at the Operator’s registered location. Matters not addressed here are governed by the applicable law of that jurisdiction, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.

13. Notices

1. The Parties accept electronic communication as valid and binding for concluding, amending and terminating this Agreement.
2. Authorised addresses are [email protected] for the Operator, and the email address associated with your Account for the User.
3. Each Party keeps its access credentials confidential. Until you notify us that your credentials are compromised, actions taken from your Account are treated as yours.

14. Changes to this Agreement

1. We may amend this Agreement. A new version takes effect when published at /terms, and the “last updated” date at the top of this page changes accordingly.
2. Continuing to use the Website after publication constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the revised Agreement, stop using the Website and, if you wish, request closure of your Account.
