• We, us, our — the operator of ForgeLoot, responsible for the data described here.
• Device — any internet-connected device you use to reach the site.
• Website — forgeloot.com, including its subdomains and localised versions.

Why we use cookies

We use first-party and third-party cookies to:

• remember preferences such as language, sound and selected game;
• support core functionality and measure performance;
• understand how the site is used so we can improve it;
• where you consent, measure and deliver marketing.

How long they last

Session cookies are discarded when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set by this site; third-party cookies are set by another provider whose content or service we use.

Categories we use

1. Strictly necessary

Required for the site to work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They carry your sign-in session, protect against cross-site request forgery and remember your cookie choices. The session cookie set after you sign in through Steam is in this category — block it and you cannot stay signed in.

2. Functionality

Not strictly necessary, but they remember choices that make the site pleasant to use: interface language, sound on or off, volume, and the game you last had selected. Without them these reset on every visit.

3. Analytics

Help us understand how the site is used and where it is slow or broken, in aggregate rather than individually.

4. Marketing

Used to measure campaigns and, where applicable, show relevant advertising. These are only set where you consent, if consent is required where you live.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by providers rather than by us — for example payment providers during a deposit, or Steam when you authenticate. We do not control those cookies; each provider retains access to the ones it sets and applies its own policy to them.

How to control cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings or preferences, usually under “Privacy”. Blocking cookies is possible but has consequences: strictly necessary cookies cannot be blocked without breaking sign-in, and disabling functionality cookies means your preferences reset each visit.

Note that disabling a cookie in browser settings does not delete one already stored — you have to clear it separately. Clearing cookies also removes preferences saved on this site and signs you out.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. Updates are published on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the Website after that means you accept the revised policy; if you do not, stop using the Website or close your account. This version is dated 28 July 2026.
